Today is the beginning of Labor Day Weekend and I am away from home. Today my husband is going dove hunting in East Texas. While I await his return, I have been looking at some of the web pages I still need to update. I am using a friends computer that she let me add a few programs to in order to make it easier to use, but this computer can barely manage basic stuff so it's slow going. It's been a long time since I worked on a computer with only 128 MB of RAM and 32 bit true color settings. Oh well, at least I'm able to do a few things, like determine the pages that needed the most help.
Well, after a little exploring I see some pages didn't convert correctly & just has a link to the correct page. These I can work on & get corrected with a little effort but I will be working toward getting the information into the new web page formatting. Then I realized that my payout proofs page is sorely outdated. My PhotoBucket account got too much traffic so my actual payout proof images are no longer linking. I had to get a new computer last year and the proofs I had gathered are on the old hard drive. My apologies to those of you that enjoy the payout proofs page. It is going to take some time to get all these images to my new computer. As I go, I will of course, be updating the current amounts as well. The ClixSense promo page has taken a good amount of my spare time but getting such good results, I feel it has been worth it. I will get back to the rest of them as time allows and will update when the new pages are ready. I'm almost tempted to keep both versions just to have a look back for perspective later on down the line.
One of the tools I loaded to this computer MWSnap 3 is a great screen shot tool I really enjoyed using. Not sure why I don't have it on the new computer at home yet. Hope it was just overlooked and not that it conflicted with the Vista operating system on my new computer. That happened with alot of stuff I had for the old one. I emailed the link to myself so I can check when I get back home next week. Having access to this tool will greatly speed up the image gathering. Hopefully my Picasa photo album will accomodate them for linking purposes. I think I may even be able to post them here as I gather them.

A Good International Paid to Read emails site (PTR)
I was recently asked for a recommendation for a good international PTR that actually pays and doesn't cost anything to join...... and my friends also wanted to know, "Is it really important to have some referrals backing you up in any paid to site?"
Because so many of my international friends have been asking me pretty much the same thing, I wanted to share my response with you here, in case you were also curious about this subject.
This was my Resonse:
I find that having referrals for my various paid to programs can be very helpful. I looked through my programs for an international one to show you how getting referrals can really help when they're active. The one I found to best illustrate my point is e-mailpaysu. I will tell you first, that it does take time to build up to the various minimums for some programs. Having referrals can definately make it easier to reach them a little faster. I spent the first 3 years reading emails there with only 3 referrals before deciding it would be worth it to upgrade. This was one of the first sites that I bought the lifetime gold upgrade for, when another of my paid to sites paid me, and I have to say it was worth EVERY dime of the $15 (now $18) I paid for it! Even though I'm promoting it on my various free traffic exchanges now, it's nice to have them still giving me free referrals from their advertising too.
Now For the Example:
In E-mailpaysu, I signed up July 15 2001, the last stats I had before reaching my first payout in October of 2006 consisted of:
$11.19 from the paid to click the penny page
$8.23 in converted points (with 3121 pending)
$23.41 in paid emails
$10.00 signup bonus
My balance $52.83 (at the time) was helped greatly by my downline earnings. Looking at the paid to read emails, I only read 76 emails for $1.52 in about 5 years as the 2c emails are rare. However, I receive 1c for each email read by 2 levels of referrals. The rest of the paid email amount came from my 2 levels of referrals. My 1st level (direct refs) read 174 emails for $1.74. My second level (my refs refs) read 2015 emails for $20.15!
***I currently have 92 direct refs & 467 second level refs and earn 1 cent for each email read by all 559! I have already been paid $163.95, my most recent payment was November 2008 and my balance is currently over $15 at the time of this submission. (3/8/09)

This is not a get rich overnight site, by any means, I've been a member for almost 7 years. Like I said, it takes time to build up, but I was only doing this site when I had some spare time after work or on the weekends. Quite often I would forget to do anything except the paid emails when I got them in my mailbox, even though their paid to click page only takes a few minutes each day. This is a site that lets you earn in a variety of ways so you can probably reach payout a lot faster than I did. It wasn't until after I received my first check, and now two paypal deposits that I felt comfortable in sharing it as a long term site that really does pay. I have to admit to being a much more active member there now too. I would definately recommend this site to everyone even as a free member because this one is definately worth waiting for since they DO PAY!
I would also like to pass along something else that's important to know. There isn't a "request payout" button there like with some of the newer paid to read sites. When you're ready to cashout (after reaching the minimum) just send an email request to Gerald Peters the webmaster. At that point he will usually ask you for your choice of payment option. I have received both a check and 2 paypal deposits already. It is also important to note that the first payout is at $50 for free members but the payouts after that are lowered to $15. If you decide to spend $18 for the lifetime gold upgrade, your downline will grow even if you don't know how to or don't want to promote your referral link.

About WordLinx
I really like WordLinx as a source of extra income. I joined the site in late 2006 and have just now requested a 5th payout for a total of $50.15 in extra cash so far! This site has been around since 2003, if you can believe that! A paid to click site that pays one cent per ad viewed, has actually been around for more than a few months, and has shown their dependability with timely paypal payouts. Let me tell you, that combination is pretty hard to find. Every time I have requested payout, I have received the money in my paypal account within 24 hours. WordLinx is definately worth checking more than a few times each day too. Just like ClixSense, the more often you check the site, the more ads you might find, even if it's only a few new ones each time. I took a look at my history of payouts with WordLinx and I'm pretty happy with averaging 3 payouts each year. Check out my screen shot and you can see that this time it took me just 3 months to reach the low $10 minimum.
I don't know about you, but when I get really close to reaching the minimum, I check the site a lot more often than normal. I was surprised to see so many ads today because, when I went to bed last night I still had about 10 cents before I would reach the minimum. Before I was done, I was 11 cents over. Not bad for one day!
I have a decent downline at WordLinx, but like ClixSense, WordLinx doesn't pay much for your downlines activity, but they do give you a small percentage (5%). Most of the $50 I have earned was from my own activity, but my 50 referrals have contributed almost $6 so it helps over time. Looking at my referral stats, my referrals have earned over $377 between them!
This is actually a good thing for advertisers because it keeps the prices low without jeopardizing the sites long term success and it's ability to pay it's members. This is one of the few paid to click sites that have a business model that actually works and as you'll see below, the prices are reasonable and provide the income to keep this site around for a long time.

Did you get two ClixSense stats emails today? (08/01/08)
Did any of you get more than one update email with your ClixSense stats? I did, and noticed a slight difference in my totals. When I logged in this morning, first site as always, I also noticed that my earnings had not been reset as I had become accustomed to over the last several months. This concerned me because I had more than my selected minimum and this amount had always been reset as of midnight on the first day of the new month. I have to admit I was a little nervous since the site had gone thru maintenance recently. I have been receiving checks from ClixSense every month since last November, but still get a big thrill out of seeing my stats updated to show my payout had been completed. I have always had a check in my hands by no later than the 10th of the month and was worried that this problem would cause a delay in the processing.
I'm attaching a screenshot of the support ticket I submitted, along with the replies and will also quote it here for those of you that don't want to click on the image link.

I also received 2 stats notices last night, about an hour apart, and they each have different totals even though there were no ads and no new clicks during the time between.
I'm curious because this is the first time this has happened since I joined near the beginning of last year.

Hello, Lynn. Thank you for letting us know. The recent site maintenance involved a server upgrade and the script that sends the stats email was not deactivated on the old server. You received two emails with different stats since it was sent from both machines. The old server has now been deactivated and you will no longer receive multiple stats emails. I am actually more concerned with the earnings from last month not being moved to a "pending" status as it always has before. Is this something that has been changed too? Will it be changing After the check has been processed? ClixSense has been the MOST reliable site I've ever participated in and it just concerns me when I don't see the earnings moved like I've come to expect over the last several months, though I do understand sometimes things have to be changed.

When I checked the image I posted after getting my second payout and compared it to my current earnings, I noticed over an $8 increase in just one month! At this rate, I'll have enough accrued for another payout request once my third request gets processed. It only took me 4 days after getting paid the second time to have enough to request a third payout. I wish they entered the date of the request, but I have it marked on the calendar as the 21st of June. Here's a new history screenshot so you can see the difference as of today.

VIPBux
VIPBux is another new addition to my PTC collection. This PTC site is free to join and open to international members. They pay one cent for each link you personally view and you can earn even more when you refer others. Their minimum payout is $10 via PayPal or AlertPay.

ClixSense - I upgraded again
Last week my one year upgrade was due to expire. Without hesitation I upgraded my account again for another $10. I've been a member of ClixSense for over a year now and they have paid me 10 times in 13 months. Every time I reach the minimum, they send me a check at the beginning of the following month, just like clockwork.
Many of you may know I have my payout set to $20 so I can reduce the percentage of my earnings lost to the $3 check fee and I'd like to give you an update after being upgraded for a year. 10 checks totaling $266.05 + $30 check fees = $296.05 earned in my first 13 months. The $30 in check fees may seem like alot, but the $3 check fee on a minimum $10 payout is a whopping 30%, while I've managed to reduce mine to just over 10%.
I've used my earnings for this site to do 2 upgrades for a total of $20 and my upgrade won't expire until 4/11/09 now. For now, that puts my total net profit with this site at $246.05 and I'll be getting more ads every day as a result of renewing my upgrade. In case you're wondering, when you extend your upgrade, you DO NOT get the big batch of ads as you do when you upgrade the first time. Some of you may be disappointed, but with the changes to the affiliate program, this has not been a problem as it would have only produced about $5 in click earnings. Is promoting ClixSense worth it?
You bet it is! I have been a very big supporter of ClixSense since joining at the end of February 2007. After reaching the $10 minimum to request payout in only two weeks, it was a site I was definately impressed with. Needless to say, I upgraded my account using only a small portion of my earnings ($10) as soon as I got my first payout!
Many ClixSense members only see the earnings grow from their own personal clicks, but you can definately improve your results by promoting your referral links to others and upgrading after you receive your first payout. Use their money to upgrade after you get paid the first time so it won't cost you anything out of your own pocket. Use some of the free traffic sites I use (provided below) and it won't cost you anything to build your downline either.

In 2007, I promoted my link to the majority of my free traffic resources and, in just over 10 months, I had gotten 29 signups. Some of these members also upgraded their accounts & started referring others. If you'll notice, using free traffic sites I sent over 143,000 viewers to my site in 2007 and collected an extra $80.99 in affiliate income alone. While this may not seem like much, earning only 56 cents per 1000 viewers I sent to my page, you need to keep in mind that my downline has also been building their downline as they too follow my plan and use these free traffic resources. By November 2007, ClixSense made some changes to their affiliate program and upgraded members then started earning on 5 levels of referrals. This was an important change that helps the upgrade fee pay off in a big way. This means not only are you earning from your direct downline, you're now earning from their referrals, and those that they referred for another 3 levels. It's amazing how quickly your downline can grow with such a fantastic affiliate program like ClixSense has. You'll notice that my affiliate earnings alone for November and December were enough to exceed the minimum to get paid. Every since then I've been receiving a monthly paycheck. (payout proofs below)
In the first 3 months of 2008 I continue to promote my referral link, but have changed my promotional tactics to free downline builders, my own webpages, blogs, forums pertaining to "get paid" sites, and a few select traffic exchanges and have another 7 signups. By being more selective in where I promote my link, I have increased my affiliate earnings to just over $5 per 1000 visitors I sent to my link. Take note of the 2008 stats to see that I've sent 18,000+ visitors to my page so far and have already earned over $90. Again, this is on top of my own personal click earnings! Your upgrade will last for one year and will often pay for itself many times over before having to renew your upgrade. In addition, you start earning from more of your downline for a total cost of $0.03 per day. (365/$10) If you use your first payout to upgrade, you won't have any out of pocket costs to start earning even more. If you're earning more than $0.03 per day as a free member, you will earn even more as an upgraded member. Start promoting your site as soon as you join so you can start building your downline.

ClixSense Really Pays
ClixSense is one of the best paid to click sites in my collection of free "get paid" sites. I don't say this lightly either. I've been a member for just over one year and have already been paid over $200 since joining. If you're interested in making some extra money without any out of pocket costs, let me show you how I did it.

Change your payout minimum to $20. This will reduce the fees when you get your first check.
Use the money you get to pay $10 for the one year upgrade. If you have been earning at least 3 cents a day as a free member, you'll be getting more ads as an upgraded member so you'll easily recover the 3 cents each day the upgrade will cost you over 365 days.
Actively click your ads a few times each day and see how long it takes you to reach the minimum to request payout. If it's a fairly short time, you'll definately earn more as an upgraded member. Use your earnings as a guage to determine if upgrading is right for you. If not, keep the money and continue earning as a free member if you like the site.
Unlike many paid to click sites, you don't have to wait long to receive your payouts. If you reach your selected minimum by the end of the month, a check is sent to you the first business day of the following month.
